USCCA Non-Lethal Course Training

Axon Taser Training

Taser Pulse 2

This class will introduce you to two types of civilian energy weapons developed by TASER. You will learn what makes these devices so effective, as well as what you need to consider when carrying them. Plus, you will get hands-on training with these devices which will increase your confidence and competence in carrying them as a means of self-protection. Pulse 2 device is used in self-defense, the weapon may be deployed and placed on the ground providing the user with a window of opportunity to get to safety and contact law enforcement. Sabre OC Spray

This class will introduce you to the pepper sprays and gels offered by SABRE. You will learn what makes these devices so effective, as well as what you need to consider when carrying them. Plus, you will get hands-on training with SABRE practice sprays which will increase your confidence and competence in carrying them as a means of self-protection. SABRE pepper sprays are made with oleoresin capsicum (OC) – a natural substance derived from the resin of chili peppers that causes inflammation to the eyes, skin, and nose - and can deploy multiple shots at a distance to deter multiple attackers. ASP Defender Spray

This class will introduce you to the Defender - a low-profile, highly effective pepper spray device from Armament Systems & Procedures, Inc. (ASP). You will learn what makes this device so effective, as well as what you need to consider when carrying it. Plus, you will get hands-on training with the Defender which will increase your confidence and competence in carrying this device as a means of self-protection.

The standard ASP “Heat” Insert (one included with the Defender) is packed with the exact same OC (Oleoresin Capsicum) irritant used by law enforcement. It’s a 10% concentration of 1.4% major capsaicinoids—a potent formula capable of quickly disabling an attacker, buying you time to get away. Inert “Test” spray Inserts are also available for practice, or for safely function testing your Defender. The D1 size Defender contains approximately six half-second bursts, with a five-foot range (may vary with conditions). A D2 size is also available, with approximately twelve bursts.

NEW for 2024—Heat Inserts include invisible UV dye, to assist law enforcement in assailant identification. Note that dealer inventory may vary.

Byrna Pepper ball Launcher

This class will introduce you to one of the newest types of non-lethal devices - the self-defense launcher. This class features the Byrna SD. You will learn what makes these devices so effective, as well as what you need to consider before deploying them in self-defense. Plus, you will get hands-on training with these devices which will increase your confidence and competence in using them as a means of self-protection. The Byrna SD (Self Defense) is the successor of the Byrna HD. It has been re-engineered for optimal performance. Powered by compressed air (CO2), the Byrna SD shoots .68 caliber round kinetic and/or chemical irritant projectiles that can disable a threat from up to 60-feet away. It is an incredibly powerful and non-lethal self-defense weapon.

This class will introduce you to one of the newest types of non-lethal devices - the self-defense launcher. This class features the SABRE Launcher. You will learn what makes these devices so effective, as well as what you need to consider before deploying them in self-defense. Plus, you will get hands-on training with these devices which will increase your confidence and competence in using them as a means of self-protection.

The direct impact of the pepper projectiles up to 60 feet causes intense pain and sensory irritation, breaking on impact up to 175 feet, each magazine contains seven 0.68 caliber red pepper projectiles, designed to cause severe discomfort and deter intruders, the pepper projectile launcher is intuitive, compact, lightweight and has no recoil, making it easy-to-use
The formula found within the 0.68 Caliber projectiles can cause a severe burning sensation to the face, involuntary eye closure and coughing, making it effective in incapacitating an intruder, the loud deployment sound can also startle and discourage further actions
Indirect contact with a hard surface up to 175 feet (53 meters) creates a 6 feet pepper cloud, causing intense sensory irritation for anyone in its vicinity
